Turkey-based Recyloop Sustainable Packaging Inc. has brought PARTYCITY’s paper cup facility, located at the heart of the U.S. billion-dollar party entertainment sector, to Turkey. Setting out with the goal of pioneering sustainable packaging production in Turkey, Recyloop Inc. has transferred the company’s high-speed, advanced automation paper cup production lines to our country. With this move, not only a facility but also America’s decades of production technology and industry experience have been brought to Turkey. Recyloop Packaging Inc. Board Member Ömer Erhan Eroğlu said, “With this investment, we are making Turkey a global hub for sustainable packaging production.”
Recyloop Sustainable Packaging Inc., which set out with the goal of leading sustainable packaging production in Turkey, has transferred the high-speed and advanced automation paper cup production lines of U.S. party and coffee retail giant PARTYCITY to our country. Thus, not only the machines but also America’s decades of production technology, know-how, and industry expertise have been brought to Turkey.
With a turnover of $2.5 billion, PARTYCITY, the largest retail chain in its sector in the U.S., entered a significant restructuring process as of 2025. The company decided to cease operations at its production branch, which had been active since 1947, in its high-tech facility located in Newburgh, New York. Recyloop Inc., on the other hand, seized this transformation as a strategic opportunity and took action.
Recyloop Board Member Ömer Erhan Eroğlu stated: “First mentioned during a sustainability workshop in the U.S., the name Recyloop is derived from the combination of the words ‘Recycle’ and ‘Loop,’ reflecting an eco-friendly and circular production approach. We embraced this vision and acquired the name.” He emphasized that in the new-generation facility they established in Silivri, Istanbul, they aim to make a difference in the industry with fully automated production lines focused on recyclable paper-based packaging, equipped with systems minimizing water and energy consumption, and visual quality control supported by artificial intelligence. Regarding the machinery investment, Eroğlu said:
“This acquisition is much more than a machine transfer. It is a strategic move that strengthens Turkey’s production capacity, expands its eco-conscious packaging vision, and enables it to become a significant player in the global market. The machines of this facility will be reborn in Turkey. We are delighted to bring the technology and know-how to Turkey that will allow us to produce at the standards of the world’s leading brands in the coffee and party sectors.”
Paper cups to exceed world standards
A Recyloop Sustainable Packaging Inc. Board Member described the company’s major investment as follows: “At this point, we are able to produce in a way that respects the environment and nature while prioritizing public health. With our new investment, in addition to producing biodegradable and recyclable cups with new inner-coating technology, we aimed to go one step further: we set out to achieve a production model that will raise paper cup quality above world standards.”
U.S. giant chose Turkey
Emphasizing that the technology hub required to achieve these standards is in the U.S., Recyloop Sustainable Packaging Inc. Board Member Ömer Erhan Eroğlu continued:
“This technology is available in the high-value lines produced by PMC in America. We had been in talks about these lines for some time. At that very moment, PARTYCITY, with a turnover of $2.5 billion, operating in more than 150 countries, producing its own paper cups, ranked number one in printing and sealing quality in the U.S., and the largest coffee and party product retailer, entered a restructuring process. PARTYCITY negotiated with many countries and companies to transfer their most advanced production lines. However, their choice was Turkey. Recyloop’s international know-how transfers in sustainable packaging and the experienced management’s reliable collaborations with global brands such as Starbucks, McDonald’s, KFC, Burger King, and Café Nero were decisive in this choice.”
Largest capacity increase in one step with 7 lines
Highlighting the pride of bringing the U.S.’s highest-quality paper cup production line to Turkey and raising global standards in our country, Ömer Erhan Eroğlu said: “We brought seven special paper cup production lines belonging to the company to Turkey. With these 7 new lines added to our existing 20, we will start production with a total of 27 lines. This is the largest single capacity investment ever made in Turkey in the paper cup sector.”
5 billion cups in 5 years
Ömer Erhan Eroğlu shared the following information about their new investments:
“With this investment of approximately 20 million euros, we are increasing our capacity to 1 billion cups. Together with the additional 200 jobs we will create, we aim to produce 5.5 billion cups annually in the fifth year. At the end of these five years, we will be able to cover more than 1% of global paper cup production on our own.”
Turkey will become a global hub
Ömer Erhan Eroğlu stated: “With the integration of these high-capacity systems into Turkey, Recyloop will not only serve the domestic market but also export eco-friendly, sustainable, and high-quality paper cups to a wide geography, from North America to Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia. With this investment, we are turning Turkey into a global hub in sustainable packaging production.”
